ECHINOCOCCOSIS · LOCATION AND APPROACH01 / 04
01 / LIVER

Echinococcosis
of the liver.

With a liver hydatid cyst, its stage, size and location matter. Prepare existing ultrasound and CT examinations to discuss treatment options.

A diagnosis alone does not determine the approach
Liver
02 / LUNGS

Echinococcosis
of the lungs.

A lung lesion needs a separate assessment. Provide chest images and a specialist's report, even if a cyst has also been found in the liver.

Suitability for a non-surgical approach is assessed separately
Lungs
03 / KIDNEYS

Echinococcosis
of the kidney.

Share existing kidney examinations and information about other lesions. The cyst's position and the organ's condition both matter.

Include all treatments prescribed by your specialists
Kidneys
04 / SPLEEN AND OTHER ORGANS

Echinococcosis
of the spleen.

One site or several organs: share all findings. Lung, kidney, spleen and other lesions belong in the complete treatment history.

Examinations are considered together with your treatment history
Spleen
AFTER SURGERY

Already had
2–3 operations?

If echinococcosis raises questions again, start with your full history. Share surgical records, prescriptions and follow-up images to discuss medication-based options and ongoing support.

04 / IMPORTANT QUESTIONS

Before your first
conversation.

Answers to questions people bring to us.

TREATMENT OPTIONSCan echinococcosis be treated without surgery?

In some cases. The choice depends on the cyst's stage, location and complications. Medication, interventions or observation are used as indicated. Lung and kidney lesions need separate assessment; treatment without surgery cannot be promised to everyone.

AFTER SURGERYEchinococcosis after surgery: where to start?

Prepare surgical records, medication history and follow-up images. After two or three operations, every intervention matters. A new finding needs assessment; one report cannot establish recurrence or determine treatment.

REMOTE CARECan I begin remotely, and what does it cost?

Yes, you can make your first enquiry remotely. Ask in Telegram or WhatsApp how to share images. Further remote support, in-person visits, duration and costs are discussed after assessing your case.
